🎉 Congratulations to Velafrica for shipping their 300,000th bike from Switzerland to Africa this June!
We’re thrilled to share the Velafrica 2023 impact report, highlighting some of the remarkable milestones achieved:
🚴♂️ More than 25,000 bikes exported in 2023
🚴♀️ Successfully completed the three-year “Bike to School” project, providing over 6,000 bikes to students
🚴♂️ Launched Burkina Faso’s first vocational program for bicycle mechanics, with 30 trainees about to graduate.
Velafrica combines integration work in Switzerland with development cooperation in Africa, creating a truly impactful model. Their efforts span numerous themes including poverty reduction, entrepreneurship, education, inequality, economic growth, climate action, and more – active across 10 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
