Announcing The Rocket Foundation’s partnership with Blue Ventures. We have been working with Blue Ventures throughout 2021 and are hugely excited to partner with this great team to enable their expansion in the Philippines to Bilirain Island, an island province whose economy is reliant on fishing in a fragile marine environment.

Blue Ventures is working to restore the world’s oceans and improve the livelihoods of traditional fishing communities, partnering with small-scale fishers and community organisations to address overfishing and safeguard ocean life in ways that benefit people.

Building resilience in coastal communities deeply impacted by climate change; whilst protecting biodiversity and our oceans. Their work is truly amazing.

Our Partnership

The Rocket Foundation has committed to raise CHF 150,000 over the next three years to fund this fantastic project. Starting with the initial scoping and reconnaissance, the building of locally managed marine protected areas and the establishment of pilot projects across the area. As this venture takes Blue Ventures further into a new region there will be further opportunity to scale and grow their impact and for local communities to leverage from their experience and success to date across Africa and the coral triangle.
