Telling the story of our Ranipura pond in Baran. This pond was built thanks to the generous support of The Ten and Lakemore Partners. Around the pond and across the village 5,000 trees were planted, the first steps towards restoring the forest cover which once thrived here.
In September 2024 this pond is full and overflowing – having collected 27,000m3 of water……a resource that is life changing for the community. This water will transform the village – sustaining agriculture, providing food, and preventing the need for migration.
We’re truly amazed by the work of The Flow Partnership and the powerful impact these ponds are having across the region. And this is just the beginning. As we continue to build and restore more water bodies throughout the basin, we envision even greater transformations – linking these lifelines to multiply their impact for the people and the environment.
Together, we’re bringing life back to the land. 🌱
